Federal Premium is a U.S. company with just under a century of experience producing some of the finest cartridges in the country. Their Syntech TRAINING MATCH line utilizes advanced components for stellar performance and function. Parts include non-corrosive "Catalyst" primers that have zero lead in their mixtures and clean-burning powder that launches projectiles consistently without any leftover residue. This contributes to a less toxic environment which is incredible for shooters that spend most of their practice or match time indoors.

Both the primer and powder are housed by a reloadable brass casing which is capped off with a 9x19mm TSJ (Total Synthetic Jacket) projectile. The TSJ is built like a conventional FMJ but uses a polymer jacket instead of one made from copper. This material is softer and prevents metal-on-metal contact from occurring in the barrel, reducing friction and heat for less barrel wear and fouling over time. As a result, shooters will experience improved accuracy and longer handgun life. In this particular load, the TSJ has a flat nose which is great for soft target scoring and steel target energy transfer; speaking of steel targets, the synthetic coating of the bullet helps to prevent potentially dangerous ricochets from heading back to the shooter. This loading is designed to provide a perfect ballistic match to the HST loading in the same weight with identical point of impact, velocity, and trajectory. The purple makes is easily identifiable as a training round.
