The drum features a modular design with an interchangeable feed tower, allowing it to be configured to function in most AR-15 rimfire conversions, the S&W M&P 15-22, or the Ruger 10/22 by installing the appropriate feed tower (AR-15 Rimfire Upper/Conversion Tower Included, Others Sold Separately). You can buy 1 of the 3 Black Dog Machine 50 Round drums listed below and have it work in 2 other models. All you have to do is purchase the drum tower only of the other 2 models you wish to convert your drum to. Compatible tower kits include 10-22 tower and also the S&W M&P15-22 tower. You can easily disassemble the drum, slide your AR-22 tower out and replace it with the new Black Dog 10-22 or S&W.22 feed towers. Black Dog does not guarantee that the drum will work in full-auto setups. However, many customers report that with a little fine tuning they can get the drum to work in full-auto.

Black dummy rounds: The plastic black dummy rounds are an important part of the drum assembly. They feed the ammo from the drum body to the tower. BDM does not recommend using dummy rounds as real bullets.

Winding Rotor: Pulling the rotor counter clockwise and letting go will most likely damage the drum. It can cause the internal followers to break.
